According to the material, the wet wipes are usually divided into three types: one is non-woven fabric (synthetic fiber); the second is pure cotton cloth (natural, belonging to polysaccharides); the third is non-woven/cotton blend . Non-woven wipes are relatively easy to breed bacteria and are not prone to mold. Cotton wipes are more prone to bacteria and mold. Non-woven/cotton blended wet wipes are basically the case with pure cotton. almost.

At present, most anti-corrosion systems used by manufacturers of wet wipes are Kasong (Kasson, Kathon). The preservative has a broad spectrum of sterilization and has a bactericidal effect on bacteria and molds. The disadvantage is that the product has no effect on bacterial spores and stability. It is also not good, it is very irritating to the skin, and it is easy to cause anti-corrosion failure. European and American countries have restricted their use, and domestic consumption is gradually shrinking.

 

In addition, some domestic wet wipe manufacturers use parabens, biguanides, quaternary ammonium salt preservatives, due to the lack of paraben preservatives themselves (eg, sterilization is not broad-spectrum, the dosage is large, It has poor effect on mildew inhiBITion. A single paraben antiseptic is rarely used. Now it is mainly used with parabens and some anti-mold agents to complement each other. At the same time, it can also meet the environmental protection requirements of some manufacturers exporting to Europe and America. However, the bactericidal effect is still insufficient (for example, the effect of quaternary ammonium salt on mold inhiBITion is not good), and it is necessary to cooperate with some disinfectants to solve the anti-corrosion problem.

As domestic environmental protection requirements become more stringent, some manufacturers are actively seeking new anti-corrosion systems.
