Classification and function of antiseptic

07-04-2023

Bactericidal preservatives are mainly used to kill bacteria or make them lose the ability to grow and reproduce to ensure that materials in the process of use do not produce spoilage. Bactericidal preservatives can denature proteins in microorganisms, reduce cell activity and promote bacterial death. They can also mutate cellular genetic genes of microorganisms or interfere with enzyme activity inside cells, making it difficult for them to reproduce

Antiseptic preservatives are divided into organic antiseptic preservatives and inorganic antiseptic preservatives according to different molecular structure. Inorganic sterilization preservatives can be divided into reduction and oxidation according to different principles. Oxidizing antiseptic is the use of oxidizing ability, so as to play the role of sterilization; Reductive bactericidal preservatives are mainly used in bleach due to their reducing capacity and bactericidal and bleaching effects.

Organic bactericidal preservatives have the characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity and good biodegradability. Widely used in paper industry, the main organic fungicides are organic sulfur, organic bromine and nitrogen sulfur heterocyclic compounds.

Antiseptic fungicide application field has been from adhesive, coating, textile, leather, wood, paper and so on has been expanded to plastic, glass, ceramic metal and aerospace parts and other industry almost all fields are inseparable from fungicide
