During the research process, effective utilization of microbial testing methods was made. Through special additives and appropriate processes, the originally hydrophobic active components were formed into a stable system dispersed in water. Additionally, the internal anti-corrosion agent and coating film mold prevention agent should be selected based on the usage environment of water-based coatings and their appropriate dosages should be designed. Firstly, the climatic conditions of the usage area should be considered. In hot and humid regions, various microorganisms multiply rapidly, so highly effective sterilizing agents should be used with a higher dosage; secondly, exterior wall coatings not only need to be affected by sunlight but also need to be eroded by wind and rain, and special consideration should also be given. 


Due to the different mechanisms of action of various types of preservatives and fungicides, they have their own distinct antibacterial spectra. In some cases, the combined use of multiple preservatives and fungicides can achieve complementary and synergistic effects, which is more effective than using a single preservative or fungicide. It can also expand the broad-spectrum antibacterial property while reducing the usage concentration, thereby enhancing the safety of the product. Clearly, the compound preservative and fungicide will dominate the future coating anti-corrosion and anti-mold system.
