Wood preservative treatment methods

    1. The smearing method is the easiest way to do it. It is to apply crusu oil on the surface of the wood with a brush. But because the immersion depth is very small, the effect is not great, and it can only play an anti-corrosion effect in a short period of time.

    2. The equipment of the dip tank method is simple, only one cement or steel tank is needed. Fill the tank with cold or hot sodium chloride water-soluble preservative with a concentration of 2% to 4%. Then immerse the pine wood with a moisture content of 25%-30% in the tank for 6 to 7 days. Paint, coal tar or asphalt as a waterproof layer after taking it out. This method is much more effective than the smearing method. If the amount of processed wood is not large, it can be used.

    3. The hot and cold trough method is more advanced than the above method. Using one or two tanks, first take the preservative at 95 degrees Celsius (mixed from 60% to 70% of Crusu oil and 30% to 40% of coal tar), soak the wood with 25% moisture content for 4 hours to make the wood Cells swell; the wood is then immersed in a cold preservative at 45 degrees Celsius for 3 hours, so that the preservative is immersed in the swollen cells. This method does not cost much equipment and has a good treatment effect, but the output is small and fuel consumption is high.

    4. The grout smearing method is to coat wood with a moisture content of more than 40% with a grout (prepared by sodium fluoride 44%, clay 13%, and coal tar 20%), and then apply asphalt formulation or asphalt after drying. The waterproof layer of the lacquer prevents the medicine from flowing out; the well allows the medicine to continue to diffuse into the wood through the action of water. This method has simple equipment and can extend the life of wood by 2 to 3 years. At present, a small part of railway sleepers are used.

    5. The enveloping anticorrosion method is to wrap the roots of the tree or the buried poles in contact with the soil, with a ribbon coated with sodium fluoride aqueous solution on the inside and a waterproof layer on the outside. So after two months, the immersion depth can reach 1.5 to 2 cm.

    6. The living tree processing method is used to process precious and rare wood, preparing for the production of noble equipment in the future. The treatment method is to perforate and hang a container with antiseptic in the tree 8-9 decimetres away from the ground in the months before the tree is felled. When trees absorb water from the ground, they inhale preservatives at the same time. For about 1 to 2 months, the tree became poisoned, the leaves withered and yellow, and the tree itself dried up. This method can also control the color of the wood used. But 30%-40% of the preservatives are wasted on the leaves and veins, and the cost is relatively high.

    7. Other anti-corrosion methods include drilling and injection method, wood end injection method, diffusion method, centrifuge oil injection method and hot air corrosion resin method.

According to different needs, people can use different anti-corrosion treatments. Only in this way can resources be saved to the greatest extent.
